Oban Bay Hotel (Approx 15 miles from Taynuilt) |
STB 4 Star.
The Oban Bay is located on the edge of
Dunollie Wood and the Esplanade overlooking Oban Bay and the Firth of
Lorne. Originally a large private house the hotel has been tastefully
extended to include spacious and modern bedrooms, an open plan foyer lounge
and bar with a superb full length sun lounge overlooking the bay. |
Regent Hotel (Approx 15 miles from Taynuilt) |
.
The Regent, externally, is a combination
of a Victorian private hotel with an almost perfect example of 1930's
Art Deco design. Internally both buildings merge to provide an open and
airy ambience with an array of well positioned public foyers and lounges.
As a town centre hotel the Regent cannot offer private parking although
there is ample on-street parking on the adjacent pier. This "disadvantage"
does however mean that Oban's many shops, the distillery, the ferry terminals
and stations are all within close distance. |
